It contains a unique combination of fatty acids. Those are effective in

In many respect coconut oil has a vast difference with the other fats
included in the diet. Coconut oil contains almost entirely of medium chain
fatty acids. These medium chain fatty acids are metabolized differently than
the longer chain fats. These fats are sent directly to the liver from the digestive
track. They are either used for energy or turned into ketone bodies. Medium
chain fats are stored less efficiently than other fats.
We eat different types of foods and that have a huge effect on our

appetite can make us consume fewer calories without having to think about it.
Coconut oil has this effect. Many studies show that, compared to the same
amount of calories from other fats, they increase feelings of fullness land
lead to an automatic reduction in calorie intake. In a study of six healthy
men, those who ate high amount of MCTs, caused them to consume 256 fewer
calories per day automatically.
In one study, 40 women were given either 20 grams, that is, two
tablespoons of coconut oil or soybean oil to consume for 28 days. They were
also instructed to eat fewer calories and walk every day. The results are such-
both groups lost about 2 pounds weight. The coconut oil group had decreased belly fat, while the soybean oil
consumers actually had a mild increase in belly
fat. But you have to keep in mind to replace some of your cooking fats with
coconut oil, only then it will be helpful to lose weight and belly fat.
